This is the souvenir program for the 40th Annual Queen Lili'uokalani Keiki Hula Competition held on July 23-25, 2015 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Arena. This 64 page booklet celebrates the perpetuation of Hawaiian culture with the keiki of Hawai'i and Japan (ages 6 to 12-years-old) and their na Kumu Hula.

It profiles five past winners who went on to win the Miss Aloha Hula competition at the Merrie Monarch as adults. They are Lisa Ku'uipo Doi Paresa (1979/1989), Allison Kailihiwa Kaha'ipi'lani Vaughan (1985/1995), Malia Ann Kawailanamalie Petersen (1988/2002), Keolalaulani Dalire (1990/1999) and Jasmine Kaleihiwa Dunlap (2001/2015).  Also featured are Master Keiki Hula winners  Kumu Hula Kau'ionalani Kamana'o (1983) and Kumu Hula Brandon Paredes (1987).

The articles are written by Guy Murashige Sibilla, then President and now Executive Director, of the Kalihi-Palama Culture & Arts Society which is a service organization that provides culture and arts programs to to underprivileged children and sponsors the competition.

This souvenir program is a historic documentation of Hawaiian hula. It is is in very good condition with some minor wear on the cover edges. Mahalo nui for looking and reading!!
