Rare Wileman Foley Pre Shelley Festoon Of Roses & Ribbons (Pattern 7733) Cup, Saucer and Plate Trio.

Cup is in the Royal shape. Cup has a puce backstamp, the saucer and plate are green. Dates to approximately between 1890 & 1910.

There are general marks of wear/light surface scratches/wear to paint commensurate with age and use. Please see specific condition notes for each item below.

Cup - good vivid colours and clean. Some wear to the gilding on the edge and handle. A tiny chip on the top edge (photo 11), a nibble on the base rim (photo 12) and crazing under the blue bows (photo 10) but you have to look really closely to see and the photo has been taken with zoom. There is a small vertical hairline that you can feel with a fingernail (photo 13) but it still has a nice clear ring when tapped.

Saucer - diameter 14.5cm. Good vivid colours and clean and has a nice clear ring when tapped. A couple of rough spots on the edge where the glaze has not covered (photos 17 & 18) and wear to the gilding on the edge.

Plate - diameter 18cm. Good vivid colours and clean. Has a nice clear ring when tapped. A very tiny nibble on the edge (Photo 20), a small part of the gilded edge feels slightly rough (photo 21) and a small area on the back where the glaze is thicker causing a raised spot (photo 22).
