This is a rare and unusual half doll. Often identified as French because this kind of half doll looks nothing like most half dolls made in Germany or Austria This beauty was actually produced in Spain, by a porcelain factory in Badalona, a suburb of Barcelona. Strikingly different from other half dolls, she belongs to a group with short waists, jointed arms and large enamelled eyes. She was made in the 20s from bisque porcelain. Her blond hair is made from shiny silk. She measures about 5-1/2” from her waist to the top of her head. Marked 0/6 B on the back of her waist. Very Special half doll!!
