1880'S ANTIQUE SYMPHONION LARGE 2 COMB MUSICAL BOX - SCHUTZ GERMANY

Circa 1880's to 1890's.  Schultz two comb movement in an ebonised wood case.

Sold for restoration ( spares or repair ).

The movement does run when helped,  but will need some service and lubrication.   There are two teeth broken on one of the combs.  The box is quite worn and the top transfer very rubbed,  generally scratched.  There is a section of wood broken and lost around the lid hinges,  and the top panel wood has split and warped away from the box lid frame.  Other marks and wear from age and use.  A house clearance item,  uncleaned as found.

Case 27cm x 27cm x 17.7cm.
