Original 1970 press photo, Charles Lindbergh w/ wife and fellow pilot, Anne Morrow Lindbergh, looking at "Sirius", the single-engine seaplane they flew from the US to Japan in 1931. Photo is dated April 29, 1970

Original period newspaper piece back of photo: "Apr 29, 1970, Reunion in Japan, Charles A. Lindbergh and his wife, Ann, look at the single-engine seaplane "Sirius" which they flew from the United States to Japan 39 years ago. The aircraft is an exhibit at a park near the U.S. pavilion of the Expo '70 fair in Osaka, near Tokyo. They made flight in 1931."

Anne Morrow Lindbergh was the first American woman to earn a first-class glider pilot's license. She was a graduate of Smith College, writer and pilot, who piloted significant flights with Lindbergh.
