The rare 1965 card has visible signs of wear to include significant creasing and what looks to be a taped top right corner.  There is very little of the staining normally seen with these cards.  It measures roughly 5.25" x 4".  Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card.

The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company.  The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945.  Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500.  These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products.  The staining seen in this card is not unusual.

This unnumbered card from the 18-card set features Johnny Rutherford.  Rutherford was the 1974, 1976, and 1980 Indianapolis 500 champion.  He would finish his Indy Car career with 27 wins, the final victory coming in 1986.
