This handmade dress is in good vintage condition however I think the colours have probably faded over the years. The fabric has a soft, well laundered feel.

It's made from what feels like a cotton fabric and looks as though it was made from a preprinted cut out and sew kit. So very likely to be a Clothkits design but I seem to remember that Liberty of London also made self sew kits at this time.

Pale yellow ground with a pink printed pattern.

I think the peacock pattern is very Art Nouveau, William Morris, William De Morgan, Liberty of London style. But it also reminds me of an Indian block print design.

Two patch pockets to the front.

I bought this last summer but unfortunately it is a bit too tight across the chest for me. I'm a size 12/14 UK 38 B for reference.

The measurements are approx :

Shoulder to shoulder : 34 CMS ( 13 inches )

Shoulder to hem : 108 CMS ( 42.5 inches ) There's about 9 CMS ( 3.5 inch ) turn up at the hem which could be let down to make it a little longer.

Garment laid flat and measured across seam to seam :

Armpit to armpit : 48.5 CMS ( 19" inches )

Waist : 51.5 CMS ( 20 inches )

Hip : 60.5 CMS ( 23.5 inches )
