The base is made in a single piece, in curved solid wood. A brass ring, the single attachment point, assembles the base and backrest, guaranteeing flexibility and great seating comfort.

This model of bridge armchair is not common, it has wide "spatula" armrests, 

which highlight the grain of the ash.
