Vintage Handbag by Best & Co, 5th Avenue NY

This is a terrific, tailored little vintage handbag by the exclusive Best & Company, 5th Avenue, New York. 

 

It is made of a black, early faux leather look-alike, with gold trim.

 

A shiny black bar extends across the top of the bag between the strap-holders.

  

Bag measures 6.5" across, 9" tall, 2" thick at base.  

The double straps create a 4 1/2" drop. 

Lining is black taffeta, with a small gold-lined pocket.

Condition is very good overall, with the straps showing the most wear, with several subtle cracks in the wrapped material.
