Beautiful silk woven picture titled
"A La Source" by E. Munier. The colors are deep and rich—not at all
faded. The black is so dark it’s like velvet.
This measures 17.5” wide by 19.25”
long, but the bottom edge may have originally been longer. This is
(inconveniently) where the NF for Neyret Freres would have been. I’m not aware
of any other early 20th cent. high quality manufacturers of this
work, so believe this is an NF piece.
The silk fibers have no brittleness
or deterioration. There are a couple of minor discolored areas and I’ve circled
the only obvious spot in a close-up pic.
