This is a rare and valuable 1945 American Red Cross First Aid Kit Military-type HEAVY DUTY metal Box from the World War II era (1945). It comes with a book dated 1945 and features a army-green color. The kit is full of bandages and other emergency medical equipment. The piece was manufactured in the United States and is an original piece, not a reproduction. Box does not say "U.S." on it or have any written indication that it was used in military, it just LOOKS like a military colored heavy metal that says "First Aid" on front. I did not take anything out or move anything so there could be things underneath the bandages. Box is very heavy and aged but latches shut easily and it is completely intact. Box measures 13 x 9 x 2 3/4" There is no significant rust on bottom.
