Manufacture date July 1904 Seth Thomas 8 Day Half Hour Strike Model 724. Movement has been disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and pivot bushings replaced as needed, reassembled then oiled where required. Mainsprings were ultrasonically cleaned and relubricated. New leather on strike hammer. Case has been disassembled, cleaned and polished to bring out the original luster. There are some dents and dings which I have tried capture in the photos. Bezel was stripped of old lacquer, polished then recoated with new lacquer. Thick beveled 3mm glass has some scratches but no cracks. This clock has been tested for about a month and is accurate and strikes as it should. Some adjustment may be necessary after shipment. This clock needs to be on a level surface to operate correctly, not a defect but a requirement for this type of clock. Pendulum rod will be secured and front feet removed for shipping.
