Presented is a set of six beautiful sterling silver dessert or oval soup spoons from
Whiting. This set is in the Lily pattern and is old production. This pattern was patented in 1902. The
pattern displays Art Nouveau lilies and leaves in high relief on both sides of
the handles. The front cartouche for each spoon has been monogrammed G in a
Gothic script.
The reverse of each piece is marked sterling along with the maker's mark for
Whiting and the patent date.
This set is in excellent overall condition. Pattern decorations are crisp and
well-defined. There are no breaks, no dents, no repairs, and no problems of any
kind.
