I am not a jewellery expert nor do I know anything about jewellery.
I am selling this brooch from my mothers estate jewellery.
- Dating from around 1920's- 1940's (I was told from auction house assessing it for me), this vintage Neo-Classical style laurel wreath brooch is crafted from solid 9k yellow gold and features 5 round white Akoya? Pearls 3 mm size - ….these alternate with 5 sprigs of decorative hand engraved laurel leaves equally spaced all the way around in a circle. A beautiful and stylish piece of jewellery. It is very fine ….the circle not quite perfectly round if looking at it back on …clearly not detectable from the front with embellishments. No idea where made - could be Australian ?
Item was appraised by Leonard Joel jewellery auctioneers as 9 carat gold …..buy with confidence ….
No original box sorry
- ….could do with a small clean ….some darkness near pin clasp and hinge. I describe the best to my ability ……
