A lot of three (3)....Shanghai, China, attacked by Japan in 1932 issued Japanese published ..*ART illustrations...three uncommon, 90 year old propaganda postcards that show Japanese Imperial Naval forces attacking Shanghai, China in 1937 during the early stages of the 2nd Sino-Japan War ....
The original triptych was displayed at the 1943 Greater East Asia War Art Exhibition....titled: "On the Huangpu River on December 8"
*These illustrations were done by the famous artist Kansetsu Hashimoto.....
"This triptych is the famous “Gumba nidai” (軍馬二題), created at the beginning of the so called "Pacific War" ...He was awarded the "Ashai Prize" in 1939 issued by the Ashai Shimbun newspaper , This triptych, “Jūnigatsu yōka Jiang Kōhokō jō” (十二月八日の黄浦江上) was made in 1943, titled "December 8th over the Huangpu "), which depicts a Japanese naval attack on Shanghai ... * the reference to December 8th, 1941 refers to the US entry into the Pacifric war."
