Canister/Holder is in great shape...brush not so much.

Brush issues:

Not fluffy, bristles uneven.

Base has several cracks

Do not understand grooved interior of brush handle.

Brush pulls in and out about a 1/4" so maybe not properly attached to base?

Color of lettering is unevenly filled in.

Canister Issues:

Raised 'dimple' on lid (see pic 5, upper right corner), minor dent on bottom edge, couple of 'pin dots' elsewhere.

Discoloration at center of one side, maybe was a sticker? (see pic 7) 

Not sure of any materials used in this set. 

Brush plainly says 'Hard Rubber Grip" but do not know what kind of bristles or material used for 'marbleized" base.  Celluloid? Bakelite? Kind of looks like fake Ivory .

Believe holder is chrome/silver covered brass, as does not attract a magnet.  Finish is uneven on top and bottom.

Silver notched rims are nice.  Like edges on old quarters or half dollars.
