The rare 1965 card has visible signs of wear to include light creasing and staining.  It measures roughly 5.25" x 4".  Please review the pictures to assist with the condition and content of the card.

The Marhoefer Meatpacking Company was founded in 1901 as the Kuhner Packing Company.  The Marhoefer family would take over in 1945.  Based in Muncie, Indiana, the company would aggressively advertise their sausages and hot dogs in conjunction with the local Indianapolis 500.  These cards were produced as part of the packaging for their products.  The stains on the back are not unusual for Marhoefer cards.

This unnumbered card features Bob Harkey and is one of 18 cards that make up a complete 1965 Marhoefer Driver set.  Harkey made six Indianapolis 500 starts with a best finish of 8th in 1964 and 1974.

From Charlotte, North Carolina, Harkey just about did it all.  He once fought Floyd Patterson in Golden Gloves, was an accomplished stunt driver, stunt pilot, and wing walker, and drove for Buck Baker in the 1959 Convertible qualifier at Daytona!

Please review the other racing items I have listed at the eBay store, The Checkered Past.  I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost.  Thanks!
