This Hand Painted Cover was mailed from New York, N.Y. to Amsterdam, New York in 1938 franked by a 3-cent George Washington issue of 1932, Scott 720. The stamp is tied to the envelope by a machine cancellation.

The artwork depicts a young boy climbing up to a girl already sitting on a picket fence with the addressee, Patricia Peebles,' name and address written on the fence's crossmember.

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. No contents or backstamps.
