2 1930s - 1940s postcards show flowers, photographed by Thor E. Gyger, well-known flower photographer from Adelboden, Switzerland. Both are signed on the back, in the plate, by Gyger, and show the flower names. Both postcards are unused and in excellent - very good condition with light wear.

First card shows the helleborus niger, commonly called the Christmas rose or black hellebore. It's an evergreen perennial in the buttercup family. Some corner wear.
Second card shows the pyrus malus, also known as the apple tree. Malus apples are sweet and mild.
