The pendant's total length is 32 mm (1 1/4 inches) long including the bail and 22 mm (7/8 inches) across and makes a bold statement..

This beautiful sky blue large aquamarine (12 ct) measures just over 18 mm long, nearly 16 mm wide and more than 9 mm deep and is set in white gold, acid tested at 14KT.  There is a cluster of 9 round brilliant F/G VVS1 diamonds (0.52 tcw) each approximately 2 mm in diameter in a pyramid pattern on the top, characteristic of the early 1950's era.  The photos were taken in indoors in daylight and the color appears slightly deeper in dim light.

The aquamarine is transparent and free of scratches and is in amazing condition for its age,  However, there is the tiniest nick in the middle of the apex on the back that doesn't even show up in the photos.  And, there are two internal feathers that run horizontally, like a mismatch of the crystal planes and can appear as if they are other facets. These feathers aren't fissures or scratches on the surface, they are internal.  If you view the stone dead on against a light background or even at some angles on a darker background (such as against one's skin when being worn, see Photo #2 of the model), you don't notice them.  If you tilt the stone toward its left or right, or tilt the bottom or top away from you, you can see them.  Sometimes they reflect off of the facets and appear to be a short 2-3 mm long horizontal hairline only at the left or right edge and other times they appear to be a horizontal hairline that goes all the way across (the top one about 1/3 of the way down the stone from the top edge) and another that appears sometimes as a 2 mm long hairline horizontally at the lower right edge or to be about 6 mm long that runs horizontally from the center toward the right side, about 1/3 of the way up from the bottom edge.  For example, Photos 5 and 6 of the front and Photo 11 of the back show these feathers at their most noticeable.  I would not set this stone in a ring, for example, because the movement of the hand would show them all of the time; worn in a pendant that lies stationary against the body they are not noticeable.
