For sale is a rare soup bowl / plate made by Doccia / Ginori in about 1770. It is hand painted with detailed roses, rose buds and leaves as well as a leaf garland around the rim and two gold lines. This the called the Lodi pattern. The plate is made with a tin glaze to cover the not so white porcelain paste. This was used around 1770. The plate displays superbly but it has a small chip to the back edge and a large hairline as shown. Too bad since otherwise it is as nice as one could hope for. It is unmarked which is very common. The dish is 1.625 inches tall and 9.5 inches in diameter. 18th century Italian
