Firestone 4-A-90 Bakelite Radio (1951) Red

Very attractive small (4 1/2 x 6 x 8 5/8 inches)  Firestone table radio. This radio has a nice looking red swirled finish. The on off volume switch seems to work and the tuner knob is easy to turn. The plug is missing. I don't see any damage to the case. There is an antenna attached to the inside of the Masonite back. The Masonite back is a little warped.  I believe this radio was professionally repainted at one time, as I don't think these came in a red swirled finish, at lease I couldn't find any on the internet. The ones that I found were black, brown or white. The code number on the back is 297-1-8212A also N-8188. I tried the radio with power and got nothing and the tubes didn't light up. This radio is being sold for parts or for restoration. It would look great as a display piece even. From what I found out it was made in 1951.  I am not an expert on radios, so I might have missed something that is important to you, so please contact me with any concerns or questions.  I will double box the radio with packing inside the box and between the boxes, so it will get to you safely. Thank you for your interest.
