This is the 2001 Scholler & Co. large facsimile hardcover edition of the original 1630 edition of Martin's Luther New Testament (German text); issued in a sturdy leather cover with black and gold lettering and design, beveled top and bottom edges, 6 raised spine bands, and decorative rivets and clasps at the corners and fore text edges; approx. size 17.5" x 12" x 2".
The prongs of the decorative clasps at the back fore edge are broken at the top side (now taped over with clear tape to avoid potential nicks when handling) and there are scratches to the inner adjacent areas of the back pastedown; the text edges have light scuffs and scratches to the gild; otherwise this is a nice copy, with clean cover, solid binding and crisp, unmarked interior.
