Started as clockmaker in the Black Forest during the early nineteenth century, SABA would eventually transition into the development and manufacture of radio and audio components and devices. This particular model, the SABA Transeuropa 2000 Automatic is a hybrid transistor portable and automotive radio with reception in the AM, FM, LW, and SW bands.

This example has a nearly flawless exterior, with all original buttons and knobs present and appear to be mechanically functioning correctly. The radio unfortunately did no work when tested with 5-D batteries (I don't have a compatible AC adaptor). It does, however, appear to have all internal components. I've been displaying it, but it is a great candidate for repair or restoration.
