This one goes out to the railroad collectors! Made by Hiram Piper in Montreal, this here is a switch lamp! Unlike the railroad lanterns, this was meant to be either sat stationary or mounted somewhere, and were used in both night and day as signalling devices! The lenses on the side amplify the light from the internal lamp so that it would be nice and bright no matter when it was being used.

This example has seen some heavy use, and is missing some paint as well as having a couple dings to the metal parts. It is wonderfully complete however, with its internal bits still all there! It would make an excellent candidate for restoration, or would look wonderful as it is in your railroad collection!

Measures: 15.75" tall by 9.5" in diameter.
