Ireland 1933 1d coil perf 15x single perf Scott 7a, SG 72a, Hib D2ci Mint hinged Cat $125.00

In 1933 Ireland issued a 1d version of the definitive map design, that was designed to be dispensed in coil dispensing machines. This stamp was issued in vertical coils that were perforated 15 x imperf, except for a single perforation at the top on each side. Depending on how the strip was trimmed one of these side perforations could be completely cut off. I am offering an example which is trimmed slightly to the left, so that the left perf is larger, and the right perf is trimmed shorter, but still present. This example is mint with a hinge remnant at the bottom. Why they hinged it on the bottom, I don't know. Unless it had been a pair, and they were trying to strengthen the join between the stamps.

The 2024 Scott catalog value for a hinged example is $125.00, Hibernian Catalogue values it at €125.00

This will be sent insured and tracked. If you buy other lots within three days I will combine shipping. If you buy more than one lot, there is only a single shipping charge based on the weight of all of the lots. In order to get the combined shipping charge you need to put all the lots in the same shopping cart and then buy them, but don't pay for them until I send you an invoice, which will show the combined shipping cost. If you buy the items separately, you will be charged a shipping cost by eBay for each individual lot and I will be charged an additional charge for each transaction. There are some cases where eBay may indicate that I don't combine lots and won't allow you to request this. This is not true, but it seems to occur mostly in international transactions where two currencies are involved. If this occurs, just go ahead and pay and I will refund the excess shipping before I ship the lot. The most important thing is to use the shopping cart and pay for all the lots in one transaction.
