Swedish beauty! CDV of a pretty woman in white dress, seated, by Th. Sorensen, Viborg
Sorensen (1878-1941) was active as a photographer in Viborg from 1907 to about 1920.
This woman is relaxed in her chair, but showing the tension of leaning a bit forward as though interested in a conversation. Her smooth hair is lovely, and her white dress gives her a bit of an ethereal look. Really a very nice portrait.
Beaneath the image, embossed into the card in a lovely script is:
"Th. Sorensen
Viborg"
The card measures 4 x 2.5 inches, and the image measures about 3.5 x 2.625 inches.
Overall yellowing to card. Light soiling to card and image. Some fading to image. Wear to the edges and corners and light soiling to the back. Crease to top right of image. No back mark.
My
mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for
years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as
quickly as I am able.
There
are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any
information my mother may have left with individual photos.
Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn't able
to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research
into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often,
but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more
information on the internet and in history books, but it's a slow
process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and
selling process.
I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so please check out my other listings.
I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
