This unusual statement necklace is from Aunt Shirley's estate. She loved to travel and collect jewelry from all around the world.

The large, commanding lion's head is fashioned from pastel-tones of Mother-of-Pearl shell that is set on black lacquer. It hangs from strands of alternating onyx, quartz and agate beads and has a lobster-clasp. It is a bold, attractive piece.

The lion's head measures 3" x 3" and hangs from 9-3/4" beaded strands on each side.

The original tag is still attached. 

It has some oxidation on the front of the lion as it lived its life in the Hawaiian humidity. I don't know how to fix that, but I'm sure there is a way; I'll leave it up to you.

The clasp has some corrosion, and there is a tiny chip on the backside. (all flaws are shown, but please look at the pics closely!)

It is decent vintage condition and I believe it can be brought back to it's original vibrance. Add it to your fine accessories...
