This is one of those items that I wish I could find more concrete information about.  It is a double stick, whimsical candle holder made of metal, probably brass, and decorated with a fine cloisonne' enameling.  The top has a stylized floral design.  The mice are covered with a fine fishnet style wire filled in with white and dark blue enamel.  The glass used for the blue in the mice is mottled with blue and a little white and is not as thoroughly mixed as you usually see.  You can see a granular structure if viewed closely enough.  It stands 6-3/8", or 16 cm, tall to the top of the candlestick and is 8", 20 cm, wide.  It is not marked in any way that I can find.  There is a little damage, probably repairable, so please check out the condition description.

That's what I know for sure about this one.  I've tried several hours of looking online, but have not been able to find any comparable items.  The cloisonne workmanship is very fine and reminiscent of Chinese or French craftsmanship and style.  Stylistically, it looks straight out of the Majolica ceramics and art nouveau period around 1880-1900.  Looks like something that would have been decorating an upper class young ladies dressing table.  If anyone has any information, please email me and I'll add it to the FAQ section of the listing.

Thank you for taking a look!  Hopefully you'll check out my other items.  I'm a long term picker who has specialized in antiques and collectibles for over 20 years and look for something a little different, hence the name.  I've been a warehouse and restaurant manager so understand how to pack for success and give good customer service.  Feel free to look at my feedback page.  I do work full time, hence the three day shipping allowance, but I do try to get them out the next day when possible.  It also makes me sometimes slower than I'd like answering questions or putting on new items, but I will get back to you as soon as I can and try not to be lazy about getting listings on.  Thanks for looking and feel free to write me with any questions or new information about my items.  It sometimes gets difficult to exactly identify something and I appreciate feedback and comments from the eBay community!  Have a great day and happy hunting!
