TITLE: 49 STOCKADE OCCUPIED BY MYINZEIN MYNTHA
One of a number of slides I am listing of images taken by photographer Willoughby Wallace Hooper documenting the Third Anglo Burmese War They were published in 1887 in various formats; the lantern slides being probably the rarest surviving medium.
The slide has a paper title as well as a hand written title that looks to have been added at a later date.
Also identified as Willoughby Wallace Hoopers work using the British Library site, they have this titled as " A Stockade occupied by the Myinzein Myntha, a Prince who aspired to the vacant throne of Burmah "
Examples of Willoughby Wallace Hooper's work have previously been sold at Bonhams and Christie's.
The slide is approximately 8.2cm X 8.2cm or in inches 3.23" X 3.23"
