This 7" X 11" photo album contains 134 photos of Joan Hornbrook growing up in Los Angeles in the 1939's-1940's. The album shows Joan with her Mexican Nanny, vacations to Catalina Island, Yosemite, and Camp Osita at Bear Lake. One photo of her 10th birthday party identifies all her friends by name. A photo four years later shows the same girls in the 9th grade at Louis Pasteur Jr. High School.
Other photos document he Cocker Spaniel, Abby, her confirmation, and wearing her Civil Air Patrol uniform in 1944. The album has photos of sailors in uniform, bathing beauties on California beaches, and her graduation at Thomas Jefferson High School in Los Angeles.
