Athearn HO Scale Cotton Belt SD40T-2 Tunnel Diesel Locomotive.  Blue Box POWERED with FLYWHEELS. This is a unit that has been only run for about an hour and has been stored for decades. would be an easy assembly project or modify to kitbash/paint.The shell is excellent, NO broken mounting tabs and no scuffs in the paint. Some small detail parts are missing, the truck sideframes are perfect but without brake cylinder detail.   Handrails are partially there, Chassis and trucks are excellent, there appears to be NO cracked axle gears, sideframes are excellent,  motor looks excellent as there is no commutator or brush wear. ALL the shafts and couplings are there, nothing missing. Loco runs sluggish due to the old grease getting hard on the worm gears, loco should be SERVICED-Lubed  I have provided a ton of photos for you to inspect, please ask any questions before purchasing.
