The main character of the novel, Dave Hull, has recently moved to Texas (the only part of the country still ruled by menn, when an alien spacecraft lands in Virginia. The alien invaders turn out to be young, sexy women, who also seem benevolent, though the Texans are suspicious of them. When it turns out that the sexy female aliens are really being controlled by other old, ugly, and malicious alens, it's up to Dave to save the day. A classic of early comic science fiction,The Girls from Planet 5 is a really fun read, with a take on gender relations that was decades ahead of its time.
