*This is an original 66 Impala SS floor shift tilt-telescopic column. It's the real deal!!!
These columns are still considered a very rare option, and they're extremely hard to find now...
*I was getting ready to rebuild this column for a customer, but the deal fell through, so it has been completely dis-assembled, and it will need to be re-assembled prior to installation.
This is a very nice used tilt-telescopic column that you can easily be freshened up and re-assembled or you can just rebuild it since the brand-new parts are included.
Attention: This column comes with a brand-new pair of trim parts "chrome knob" tilt / turn signal levers, turn signal switch assembly, wiring pigtail harness, (1) pair of "aftermarket" black tilt / telescopic lower dash collars, and a firewall bracket seal for the column as well.

There is roughly $500.00 + in brand-new parts alone that are included.
FYI: We can professionally rebuild this tilt-telescopic column for an "extra labor charge" if you're interested.
*This original 65-66 Chevy Impala SS / Caprice SS floor shift tilt-telescopic column was in very good used condition, and it doesn't have any rust issues at all.
*The column has been thoroughly bench tested and everything appeared to be in very good working condition prior to being dis-assembled.
The upper cover, lower collar, pivot assembly, and the mast housing are in great used condition.
The tilt and telescopic mechanisms, both works great in all locking positions.
The upper and lower bearing felt smooth and spun freely, when rotating the steering shaft.
I also have the original lower coupler which is included.
The original turn signal cable assembly is in great used condition, and it does appear to operate properly.
Also, the original horn contacts and the cancel cam assembly are still intact, and everything looks like it is in great condition, with the exception of a very small piece of plastic missing on the upper edge of it. It shouldn't affect anything...
*The beige telescopic steering wheel is in very nice used condition, except for a few very minor hair cracks located under the chrome horn ring.
There is some very minor pitting on the chrome horn shroud.
Attn: I don't have the original chevy bowtie cap, so will need to locate one of them elsewhere.
It isn't hard to fabricate a small mounting bracket to hold a wood wheel bowtie cap, if you aren't concerned about the original cap.
