For sale is a rare plate made from basalt by Wedgwood in the
late 18th century or early 19th century though I am not sure when exactly. It is very nicely
made with a neat relief pattern to the rim of possible arcanthus leaves.
The plate is in perfect condition. It is marked underneath with the
impressed WEDGWOOD mark and a star above that. Also what appears to be
an impressed or incised A though it is a bit hard to make out. The piece
is 0.625 inches tall and 7.75 inches in diameter. English England 18thC 19thC
