These are 2 very hard to find hardcover books on Medical Genetics and the importance of the early work done in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

1. Progress in Medical Genetics Volume II by Arthur Steinberg and Alexander Bearne. Published by Grune and Stratton in 1962. With the growing interest in human genetics it has become almost impossible to keep abreast of the rapid advances which have been made in the various fields. This volume is aimed at presenting up-to-date reviews of these topics in a manner which is acceptable to the clinician, the geneticist and the student. Book is illustrated. 378 pages.

2. Counseling in Medical Genetics by Sheldon Reed. Published by W.B. Saunders Company in 1955. The purpose of this book is to help the physician answer his patient’s questions concerning heredity. The desire for such information exist in every city in town. Counseling and medical genetics at the grassroots level will have to be done by the family physician in a vast majority of cases, and this book discusses just that. 268 pages.

Both books are in good to excellent condition. Spines are nice and tight.
