The Prince of the House of David or Three Years in the Holy City  being series of letters of Adina, a Jewess of Alexandria, supposed to be sojourning in Jerusalem in the days of Herod, addressed to her father, a wealth Jew in Egypt, and relating, as if by an eye-witness, all the scenes and wonderful incidents in the life of Jesus of Nazareth from his baptism in Jordan to his crucifixion on Calbury, by Rev. J. H. Ingraham.  

Roberts Brothers, Boston, MA.   Hardcover,  1881 printing of a boook first publsihed in 1859. .  12mo with ornately tooled dark blue cover, gilt decoration and  lettering on the spine, gilt silhouette on the front cover, dark blue endpapers, 472 pages plus advertisements for other books by the publisher bound in at the end.  This copy is in good minus condition.  Text is lightly tanned and unmarked and has a few small stains and corner creases.  Sewn binding is a bit  loose, edges are soiled, and cover has frayed corners and edges and a 1” tear along the top of the spine.
