This rare and valuable book is a first edition of the Zoist Journal, published by Arthur Hall Virtue And co in London. Written by John Elliotson, it covers the fascinating topics of occult medicine, animal magnetism, phrenology, and mesmerism. The hardcover binding protects the original pages, which were printed between 1843-1856 in English.

The Zoist Journal is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts of science and medicine. Its special attributes and provenance make it a unique addition to any antique book collection. Don't miss the opportunity to own this original piece of history.

Tight Binding, and almost no damage—other than the scratch on the outer binding of volume 12 (pictured), and some small pencil marks the blank pages at the beginning of volume 1 (also pictured).

In the past 15 years, I have never seen a complete 13 volume 1st edition set of this for sale… and have rarely seen even a single volumes, in such good condition. This entire set is in amazing condition, especially given that it is 168 years old. This set was preserved in a medical library, for over a century—and it shows.

If there was ever a collector’s set of this rare journal, it would be this well preserved one.

Happy bidding!
