For sale is a superb lidded dish with its spoon made by
Nymphenburg in the 20th century . The little bowl it attached to its
underplate and has a lid with a slot for the spoon to come out of. The
pieces are hand painted with puce flowers as well as a puce trim that
stands out superbly against the black and white ground. The spoon is
just white with a bit of puce trim and a flower in the bowl part. This
color combination of the black and white with the puce is one of my
favorite and it just doesn't get old. This dish is very hard to find
and was likely meant for jelly but could be used for honey , mustard or
even sugar or whatever else you like :) The piece is in great condition
with the lid and spoon being perfect but the side of the bowl part has
some of the black color flaking off along the bottom edge as shown and a
few scratched to the black on the under side of the saucer part. The
flaking is some sort of firing issues that I have not seen before. A
little black paint would cover that up perfectly and it is also fine as
is. The underside of the saucer is marked with the impressed shield
mark as well as the green shield with Nymphenburg under it. The saucer
part has a diameter of about 5 inches and the dish is 3.75 inches tall
to the top of the finial. The spoon is 4.625 inches long. German Germany 20thC Antique Porzellan Senf Zucker Dose Marmelade vintage
