Der schottische Karikaturist und Kupferstecher John Kay, von dem das Blatt stammt, war bekannt für seine Karikaturen von Ereignissen und der Gesellschaft Edinburghs.

  • Description: The depiction shows the two lawyers Archibald Campbell Colquhuon and Alexander Maconochie in robes and long wigs standing in conversation facing each other in front of a doorway. The Scottish caricaturist and engraver John Kay, who created the sheet, was known for his caricatures of events and Edinburgh society.
