  • Beschreibung: Studienblatt mit Kriegern in nordischer Rüstung, geschart um ihren Anführer, der den Kopf nachdenklich auf die Hand gestützt hat. Die Zeichnung stammt aus einer Sammlung von Historien- und Sagendarstellungen mit nordischen Szenen und Themen aus der Hand des dänischen Künstlers Rondahl (1858 Vordingborg - 1914 Kopenhagen), der sich besonders als Zeichner einen Namen gemacht hat. Er lieferte die Entwürfe für zahlreiche historische, archäologische und literarische Schriften.

  • Description: Study sheet with warriors in Nordic armour, gathered around their leader, who has his head resting pensively on his hand. The drawing is from a collection of history and saga depictions with Nordic scenes and themes from the hand of the Danish artist Rondahl (1858 Vordingborg - 1914 Copenhagen), who made a name for himself especially as a draughtsman. He provided the designs for numerous historical, archaeological and literary writings.

  • Condition: Good condition. The sheet is slightly discoloured and foxed due to its age; upper and lower left corners slightly creased. The image makes a very good impression.
