Vintage, circa 1883-1905: Salvaged Sargent # 6354 mortise lock with an Eastlake face. Push button entry mortise lock as been cleaned and completely restored with both keys and with a full set of all brass Circa 1894 Sargent Eastalke hardware corresponding to the Blumin ID H-43400. Works perfectly.
MORTISE LOCK BOX: Mortise lock has a bronze face plate with a length of 6 7/8" and a width of 1" and thickness of 1/8".
BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 7/8".
SCREWS: Screws are on 6 1/8" centers.
DROP: The drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the closest key slot is 1 3/4". Drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 3 1/8".
KNOB POST or KNOB SHAFT: ``The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" split pivot knob post. It is included with the set.
REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible. If you let us know before shipping we can reverse it for you.
KEY: The lock comes with both keys and it works well from either side of the door. Double plate for the exterior and a single key escutcheon for the interior. We have also included a strikepate for the set.
Knobs & Plates: Brass Sargent 'T' design knobs with a beautifully detailed casting (Blumin H-43400). The exterior has a double keyed brass plate and the interior has a round knob escutcheon.
