Large heavy iron mid 1800s Adam's rim lock.  Patent date 1842.  I'm note sure if the keeper is original. Specially designed knob for the rim lock design. See pictures for details.  Knob is 2 3/8".  Rim lock is 4 3/4" x 3 1/8th
