For sale is a nice tea cup made by Doccia in the 18th century . It is hand painted with a large floral arrangement to the front as well as two smaller single flowers to the side and back and a little gold bug as well. Gold trim to the top and bottom as well as the handle which has the typical shape and is quite decorative. The cup is in decent condition with some wear to the gilding which shows the red color they painted early on under the gold and a large J shaped hairline to the side that is not obvious when on display. Wear to the flower on the inside and crack through bottom handle terminal. It is not marked underneath which is the norm! The cup is 2 inches tall and just under 3 inches in diameter. A nice example and would make a great learning tool that is a must have for this maker. Richard Italian
