Two matching frames.  Original finishes, ca. 1880 Victorian picture frames in the deep dish style.  All the layers:  walnut, ebonized, gilded, burl with incising, gilt inset with faded pattern.  14" tall, 12" wide, 3" deep.  Good original condition.  Some loss to finishes and typical wear from light handling and storage.

Fits 8"x10" media.  Prints are older but do not appear antique or of provenance.  Includes glass.  One frame has original sawboard backing; the other does not.  Newer staples on backs and original brads.  Picture rail eyelets on the backs for hanging.

Original walnut finish could be polished up; gilding looks somewhat faded but presents well for its age.  Note a small split or deterioration of wood grain in the top left corner of the left frame.
