Here is a Copyright 1951 hard bound copy of THE BIG GOLDEN BOOK OF ELVES AND FAIRIES Selected by JANE WERNER with Pictures by GARTH WILLIAMS, from GOLDEN PRESS - NEW YORK that measures about 13" by a bit over 10” wide. This may well be a First Edition as no other printings are mentioned. The inside title page says THE GIANT GOLDEN BOOK OF ELVES AND FAIRIES WITH ASSORTED PIXIES, MERMAIDS, BROWNIES, WITCHES, AND LEPRECHAUNS. The binding is secure, the pages are clean and bright, while the colorful hardboards have some wear at the corners that we have tried to show. The bottom of the front spine has a bit of mylar loss and there are two grooves that may have been from manufacture. This book is really beautiful but, please, use the photos to help you determine condition for yourself. You may see glare, reflections, or shadows in the pictures.
This would be a great addition to any children’s book collection.
