Extremely rare large (25" long 3-1/3 LB) escutcheon by Corbin. The "Oval Lion" A-10740 from their 1895 special order catalog. Solid cast bronze in excellent condition with beautiful naturally aged patina. Currently set up as a display piece, note that the keyhole cylinder is a dummy that can easily be replaced with a cylinder if so desired to be put back in service.
