From the recent clearance of a radio enthusiasts collection this is a rare Philips table top radio made in England in around 1934.

Its complete with all its knobs which seem to move as they should and is generally in quite remarkable condition for a 90 year old set, it doesn't appear have suffered from damp or woodworm like many.

There's no plug on the lead but I know better than to power up such a thing without having a competent person check it out first. Consequently its been sold as untested for its decorative appeal or as a project for the enthusiast.
