Ideal for use as a Phosphate Reactor to keep media in suspension. Can be used for a multitude of filter media, such as phosphate remover, chaeto, activated carbon and as a fluidised sand filter.
Bio pellets can be used with ease.. just remove the sponges and use the trays provided.
If the reactor is to be used as an algae reactor... with chaeto, removal of the sponges maybe be preferred. The chaeto can be tied to the media trays, to keep it in place.
Lighting wise for the algae, l would aim at 1.5m length of 5050 Waterproof (silicone covered) Leds, which should give you around 21w. Either a full daylight or a Red and Blue spectrum lighting.
Algae Capacity: 2.3litres. Giving roughly 75gals/ 330l of filtration.
Designed has a free-standing in cabinet or sump reactor.
Also comes with a Control Valve for flow adjustment.
