Have the smell of diesel? Left a streak of fluid leaving the parking lot? Have a puddle under the vehicle in the morning that's worse on cold days? It may be a simple inexpensive fix. There is a common problem on the 7.3 liter diesel. The factory O-Rings on the fuel/water separator are made of Buna-Nitrile which gets hard and shrinks especially with the use of ULSD fuel and causes a fuel leak. It is fairly easy to detect. Check for pooling of diesel in the valley of the motor, and/or  fluid coming out the passenger side of motor (out of the tube designed to empty the fuel filter canister of the water in the fuel). The solution is to replace the two O-Rings between the fuel/water separator petcock and the filter housing with Viton® O-Rings designed to take the abuse of ULSD fuel. I sell the brown Viton® O-rings so you can be assured that they are not of lesser unkown quality. If you go to the dealer they will sell you the complete petcock assembly  (with the Buna-Nitrile O-Rings) for more than $50 when all you probably need is just two new O-Rings. Fits 1994-2003. For just $5.00 including shipping and about twenty minutes you can eliminate that fuel leak.
